Ex-Laker Kyle Kuzma spent his first year in Washington where he significantly improved his individual statistics.

However, when it comes to team success, the Wizards failed to make the playoffs despite having a strong start. Kuzma was asked in an interview what is his mindset for next season.

The 27-year-old forward emphasised making the playoffs next year, especially when the Wizards have a talented team.

You’re entering your second season with the Wizards. I know we’re a couple weeks away from the season kicking off still, but what is your mindset going into this season? Do you feel like you guys can take a bit of a leap forward?

Kyle Kuzma: Yeah, I mean, it’s all about getting to the playoffs. That’s my mindset. The NBA’s always better when you can win. We probably had one of the more talented teams that Wizard fans and the DMV’s seen in recent years and we have to figure it out, take that leap, and start playing winning basketball. That’s the most important thing that we have to do.

Kuzma averaged 17.1 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 33.4 minutes per game during his first year in Washington.
