Dwight Howard and the Brooklyn Nets are showing mutual interest to ink a pact for next season.
As reported by Bally Sports’ Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson via Spotify, both sides may likely collaborate on the upcoming season.
The Nets are currently enduring a dramatic offseason stage of turmoil with their two stars in Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, but they seem unbothered in this scenario – showing willingness to still remodel and position themselves as a legit contender for the following years to come.
Howard, 36, could be in the twilight of his illustrious career now, but he can still provide serviceable plays from a decent playing time. He averaged 6.2 points, 5.9 boards and 61 percent shooting in his third campaign with the Los Angeles Lakers.
An energetic guy who is now likely to be a resonating voice in the sidelines, he can also be instrumental on the growth of Nicolas Claxton.
For now, the future hall of famer remains unsigned as a free agent, but a deal could be in place as soon as possible.
