Luka Doncic did not look like his usual self during Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against the Warriors. The Slovenian superstar scored 20 points (6/18 field goals).

A large part of his offensive struggles can be attributed to Golden State’s defense. However, it seems that there might more to the story.

A new report suggests that Doncic was up most of the night due to illness after Game 1. It is possible that the 23-year-old point guard was dealing with the illness during the game and that it affected his performance.

Via Tom Dierberger of NBC Sports:

“I hear he’s sick today,” Harlan told KNBR’s Greg Papa and John Lund on Thursday. “I guess he was up most of the night and ill. I’ve heard it now from two different people, so I’m assuming it’s probably true.”

The Mavericks have not made any comments about the reported Luka’s illness and as of the time of this reporting he is supposed to play in Game 2.
