The Lakers are actively searching for a new head coach who would replace Frank Vogel. Quite a few names have been reported by the media as potential candidates.

One of them is Mark Jackson who last coached the Warriors before Steve Kerr took over. According to a recent report, Jackson was interviewed by the Lakers.

Sports analyst Skip Bayless thinks that putting him at the helm of the purple and gold would be ‘a nightmarish fit’ because the team needs a “puppet coach,” who can operate under Phil Jackson and Kurt Rambis.

“I think it would be a nightmarish fit for the Los Angeles Lakers… Mark Jackson is old school. He is his own man, ‘my way or the highway,’” Bayless said on UNDISPUTED.
