Joel Embiid returned to action for the 76ers in Game 3 of the second round series against the Heat. The Cameroonian center had a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds as he helped Philadelphia bounce back after losing the first two games.

Heat star and Embiid’s former teammate Jimmy Butler praised the MVP candidate for his impact on the game but did not think that he was the reason why Miami lost Game 3.

“You add Jo to any team, home or away, the game, the scouting report, it changes drastically,” Butler said, per Nick Friedell. “He’s been like that for his entire career. But that’s not the reason that we lost the game — we didn’t get back, turned the ball over … but he is a big part of it.”
