Will Barton and DeMarcus Cousins had to be separated by their teammates during the third quarter of Game 2 between the Nuggets and Warriors.
It appeared that the center made some comments from the bench towards Barton who was on the court. The latter was agitated when walking towards the bench and other Denver players had to step in to prevent a further escalation.
After the game Barton explained what happened between him and Cousins. “Some goofy sh*t, I can’t even entertain,” he said during the press conference.
He was then asked to clarify what he meant by that. “Just some goofy sh*t that happened on the bench that I shouldn’t even entertain. We can’t let that happen in a series in the playoffs in the game. I got to be better than that.”
