Game 2 of the first round series between the Nuggets and Warriors included a heated exchange between two Denver players. DeMarcus Cousins and Will Barton had to be separated by their teammates during the third quarter.

Nuggets head coach Michael Malone made a point that the infighting between his players only makes the team weaker and reduces their chances of winning even a single game against Golden State.

“If we’re fragmented, if we’re breaking off into groups or individuals, then we have zero chance of winning a game in this series,” Malone said, per Mark Medina.

Barton explained after the game that Cousins said some ‘unacceptable’ things towards that he could not ‘entertain.’
