It is official: Lonzo Ball will not return to the court this season. The Bulls will make their playoff campaign without the 24-year-old point guard who underwent a meniscus surgery on his left knee.

Bulls guard Lonzo Ball will not return for the remainder of the 2021-22 season. Ball underwent surgery on his left knee in Los Angeles on January 28 and continues to experience pain with high-level physical activity. He will continue daily treatment and rehabilitation in preparation for the 2022-23 season.

This season Ball averaged 13 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists in 34.6 minutes over 35 games for the Bulls. It was his first season in Chicago.
