LeBron James’ agent and business partner Rich Paul denied the rumors that the superstar is unhappy with the Lakers’ front office for not making any moves to improve the roster before the trade deadline.

The comments by the 37-year-old superstar himself during the NBA All-Star Weekend fueled the rumors. During a press conference in Cleveland James praised Oklahoma City Thunder general manager Sam Presti for how he manages the team.

Some took these comments as an indirect criticism of Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka. LeBron rejected such rumors as unfounded when addressing the media after the loss against the Clippers.

However, according to an anonymous Eastern Conference general manager, he heard talks that James was trying to get Presti replace Pelinka.

James’ agent, Rich Paul, has refuted reports that James is unhappy with the Lakers’ inactivity or Pelinka, but the GMs I spoke to aren’t buying it. “I heard that he was trying to get Sam Presti in there to replace Rob,” the second Eastern Conference GM said. “I don’t see that happening, but I could see him trying to get Pelinka out of there.”
