Recently rumors appeared suggesting that James Harden is not happy in Brooklyn and that he would be interested in re-joining former Rockets GM Daryl Morey in Philadelphia.
For his part, Morey is reportedly willing to wait for the offseason for the opportunity to acquire Harden via trade including Ben Simmons.
According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the 32-year-old shooting guard is committed to the Nets and wants to win a title with the team.
“James Harden has repeatedly told management, ownership, you know, those in the organization that he is committed to being a Net that he wants to win a championship there and, and more than that, the Big Three in Brooklyn, Kevin Durant, James Harden, Kyrie Irving …,” Wojnarowski said on ESPN’s NBA Countdown, via HoopsHype.
“What they say publicly, they also say privately, which is, when they’re together, they believe they’re unstoppable and that the Nets are going to get that group back.”
Brooklyn’s head coach Steve Nash also talked on the topic, saying that he thinks that Harden is happy to be with the Nets. “I think James is happy to be here I just think it’s frustrating right now … we have higher expectations and I thin it’s frustrating but I think James is happy here for sure,” he said, via Dave Early.
This season Harden is averaging 23 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 10.1 assists in 37 minutes per game for Brooklyn.
