The NBA is close to an agreement with NBPA to lessen the quarantine period from 10 days to six days.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the league has been studying research models and consulting disease specialists to find the best solution.

Upon testing, players that have tested positive for the virus could clear the protocols sooner than the current 10-day period. If that happens by tomorrow, it could lead to several players clearing quarantine ahead of Christmas Day showdowns.

The NBA is expected to share the agreement with teams soon. The league has seen 144 players enter the Covid-19 protocols, including 130 in December.
