Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James had a team-high 30 points in a win over the Boston Celtics. The four-time NBA champion, who will turn 37 later this month, was asked after the game about the importance of winning after having a couple of days of rest.

“I didn’t feel great going to [the Clippers] game because I was put into solitary confinement,” James said. “That was the main reason there. For me I don’t really believe in a lot of day in between or whatever the case may be. But that’s just my mindset.

“You get involved in how many minutes I’ve played or how old I am, I don’t confine to that. I think when you think negative thoughts, negative energy, it just creeps into your mind. I’m as young as I’ve ever been.

“It was a great game for us. We came in with a great game plan. Our coaching staff gave us a great game plan, it was up to use to go execute it and just tried to do that for close to 48 minutes as possible.”
