Klay Thompson is getting closer to his return to action after missing more than two years of basketball due to injuries. According to the latest report, the 31-year-old shooting guard is expected to play his first game during the Christmas week.

A recent comment on Thompson’s return by the Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, though, caused some confusion among the media. He did make a clarification on what his actual message was.

“When I said I don’t know where that came from, I was referring to when he was coming back…,” Kerr said, via Mark Haynes. “I probably just anticipated a question that didn’t come, so that’s my fault. I just wanted to make sure everybody was on the same page.”

Even without Thompson, the Dubs are having a very strong start to the season. They have the best record in the entire NBA with 15 wins and 2 losses.
