Boston Celtics have yet to find their footing coming into the 2021-22 regular season with a new head coach and a new front office lineup under former coach Brad Stevens.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the 2-5 Celtics had a players-only meeting that “was emotional at times” following Monday’s 128-114 loss to the Chicago Bulls.

The meeting came after Marcus Smart called out Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, claiming that the two Cs’ stars are unwilling passers.

After the loss to the Bulls, where Chicago came back from a 19-point deficit in the fourth quarter, the Celtics fell to 1-5 against Eastern Conference opponents.

The Celtics need to get back to adding to their winning column starting from Wednesday’s matchup vs. Orlando to buy some time and work on their deficiencies as we get deeper into the season.
