David Fizdale opened up about joining the Los Angeles Lakers as an assistant coach in the offseason.

Fizdale, a former Knicks head coach and California native, couldn’t hide his excitement about the opportunity to win a title with the Lakers.

“Top to bottom, we were raised Laker. And so for them, it’s a real treat to see me with these guys and to have a chance to win a title,” Fizdale told Kyle Goon of the Southern California News Group, via Lakers Nation.

David Fizdale replaced Jason Kidd (current Dallas Mavericks head coach) in the Lakers coaching staff.
