According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the Washington Wizards have claimed the Los Angeles Lakers camp guard Joel Ayayi off waivers. Ayayi is on a two-way contract. After being released on Saturday, the Lakers had remained hopeful that Ayayi would join the team’s G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, this season should he clear waivers. Having an open two-way roster slot, Washington claimed Ayayi and slid him into that open spot.
