The Los Angeles Lakers are one loss away from having an early end to their season after being blown out by the Phoenix Suns (85-115) in Game 5.

Last year, when the Lakers won the championship, they did not face a single elimination game in the playoffs, despite losing several games. Game 6 will be the first time for this team when they have their backs against the wall.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel was about the situation. “We got a good team,” he said after the loss to the Suns. “We got to do the best we can in the 48 hours to get a little more healthy, really working with our treatments to get some of our guys back and remain confident in the depth that we have. We built a deep team to withstand some of the injuries. We got to take care of our homecourt.”
