Golden State Warriors are hoping to return as a title contender this season, as Klay Thompson is ready to get back to the court after two years.

According to Thompson, there is no exact timetable for his return after missing last season with an Achilles injury. It is possible to miss the first month of the 2021-22 campaign.

“Don’t have a set date, but don’t anticipate anything before 12 months, that’s at least until late November, early December,” Thompson told reporters Monday.

The five-time All-Star is expected to return to the court at some point during the upcoming season after having missed two full years due to injuries. He tore his ACL in the 2019 NBA Finals and had another serious injury in the Achilles in the last offseason.

Golden State opens the 2021-22 season against the Los Angeles Lakers on Oct. 19.
