Olympiacos held an official press conference on Monday, where club legend Vassilis Spanoulis announced his retirement.
Club owners, Panagiotis and Giorgos Aggelopoulos, had nothing but good words to say about Spanoulis, who spent 11 years with the team (2010-2021).
Spanoulis helped Olympiacos reach four EuroLeague Championship Games (2012, 2013, 2015, 2017) and win the title twice (2012, 2013).
The owners of Olympiacos also announced a preparation game vs a top opponent next preseason. The game will take place in September 2022 at Piece and Friendship Stadium to honor the legendary captain.
