The future of CJ McCollum remains uncertain as the new season is getting closer. His name has been floating in trade rumors this offseason. The player, who has been with the Portland Trail Blazershis entire NBA career, is not too worried about what happens next and would like to remain with the current team.
“It’s going to be what it’s going to be at the end of the day,” the 29-year-old guard said, per NBC Sports. “I’m happy in my situation. I’ve been able to continue to figure out ways to improve and help us make the playoffs eight straight years, six straight years as a starter and I look forward to the challenge of trying to get back to the playoffs this upcoming season.”
This past season, McCollum averaged 23.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game for the Trail Blazers. It was his best season individually so far. He has three more years left on his contract and is set to earn over $30 million this coming season.
