Cade Cunningham, the number one pick of the 2021 NBA Draft, will be participating in the cryptocurrency revolution. According to CoinDesk, the 19-year-old point guard signed a multi-year sponsorship deal with crypto lending company BlockFi.

The deal includes the clause of Cunningham receiving his signing bonus in Bitcoin, the number one cryptocurrency, based on market capitalization. At the time of this reporting, Bitcoin is changing hands at over $47,500.

The Detroit Pistons signed the point guard to a four-year contract, including $20.6 million guaranteed, and an annual average salary of $11.4. He will earn a little over $10 million this coming season.
