Los Angeles Lakers are in talks with team’s assistant Miles Simon to become the head coach of the franchise’s G League affiliate, per ESPN’s Zach Lowe.

Simon has been a part of the Lakers’ coaching staff since 2017. He won his first championship in 2020 being a part of Frank Vogel’s coaching staff.

The former Orlando Magic shooting guard will remain a part of the Los Angeles Lakers’ staff. Simon will replace Coby Carl, whose contract with the South Bay Lakers expired last month.
