The Los Angeles Clippers opened their first ever Conference Finals with a loss to the Phoenix Suns. Both teams missed one of their stars – Kawhi Leonard was out for the Clippers and Chris Paul missed the game for the Suns.

DeMarcus Cousins, who had 11 points and 4 rebounds in 13 minutes of play for LA, was confident after the game that his team will adjust for Game 2. “We’ll adjust — I promise,” he said. “We’ll adjust, for sure.”

“Just trying to be ready at all times, keeping myself ready on the sideline. I don’t know when my name is called but I just want to be ready when it is,” Cousins said when asked about his own role.
