Dennis Schroder, who is expected to be one of the key players for the Los Angeles Lakers, had a disappointing night in Game 5 loss to the Phoenix Suns.

The 27-year-old German guard missed all 9 of his field goals, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 1 assist in 26 minutes of play as his team was beaten by 30 points.

His performance had even more attention due to the fact that he has turned down an $84 million contract offer by the Lakers. “The nerve of him turning down 80 plus million! I mean the audacity,” former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins tweeted in reaction to Schroder’s Game 5 stats.

Schroder is averaging 13.2 points, 3 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 31.8 minutes per game during the series against the Suns.
