Phoenix Suns star Chris Paul has dealt with a shoulder injury in the first round of the playoffs, but that isn’t stopping him.

When asked if he would play in Game 5 against the Los Angeles Lakers, Paul responded “I’ll be ready for the game tonight.”

Paul was upgraded to probable on the team’s latest injury report meaning that they fully expect him to play.

After not looking like himself in Games 2 and 3, the 36-year-old finished Game 4 with 18 points, three rebounds, nine assists and three steals.

In the series against the Lakers, Paul is averaging 9.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

The Lakers, meanwhile, are expected to be without star Anthony Davis after he suffered a left groin strain in Game 4.

However, he is listed as questionable for Game 5, as the team will see how he is feeling after treatment today.

In a series that is tied 2-2, tonight will be crucial for both teams, as historically, the winner of Game 5 goes on to win the series 82 percent of the time.
