LeBron James gave a big compliment to Steph Curry ahead of the play-in tournament in which the Los Angeles Lakers are set to face the Golden State Warriors. The four-time champion said the Dubs star, who has just won an NBA scoring title, is this year’s MVP.
Curry was asked to share his thoughts on LeBron’s comment. “I respect him for it and I appreciate it,” he said, per Mark Medina. “We all know as competitors, though, when the lights are on, I can talk about how great he is until I’m blue in the face and he can do the same, it doesn’t change how we approach that competition when we’re out there.”
The Lakers and the Warriors will clash later today with the winner getting the seventh seed in the Western Conference and a first round matchup against the Phoenix Suns.
