The Los Angeles Lakers ended a three-game losing streak by defeating the Denver Nuggets 93-89. It was also the second win in eight games for the reigning NBA champions.

According to Anthony Davis, who led the winners in scoring with 25 points, it was a good win against a good team which will give the Lakers momentum going to the last seven regular season games.

“It just gives us momentum,” the 28-year-old forward said. “We lose to the two teams that we felt we should have beaten and then come in to tonight and get a win against a big time team who’s playing well. I think they won nine of their last ten.

“Sort of a statement game for us. Sort of a game just to get us back in a win column and make us feel good and get as that momentum that we need to finish out the rest of these seven games.”
