Today, Anthony Davis could play his first game with the Los Angeles Lakers since mid-February when he injured his calf. According to the team’s head coach Frank Vogel, the 28-year-old forward would start the game and would be on a 15-minute restriction.

However, Vogel does not expect that it would take many games before Davis’ minutes are not restricted. “I think multiple games,” he said when asked how long it could take for AD to get back in shape.

“Honestly, if you’re out for this long it usually takes a couple weeks to have your legs under you and your rhythm and timing is back as well as working in new teammates. So it’s going to take some time.

“As far as the minutes restriction, it’s just really going to be evaluated on a game to game basis based on how he feels. But it doesn’t feel like it’s going to be too many games where he’s on a restriction.”
