Polish side Wisla Can Pack set a new attendance record for women’s basketball last night as 12,990 fans saw them lose out to Galatasaray 64-53 at the Krakow Arena.
The Polish side made their mark after opting to play their record-breaking game at Krakow Arena instead of their usual venue of Hala TS Wisla.
The crowd of 12,990 beats the previous attendance record set in Kayseri in March 2013, where 11,000 fans watched Dynamo Moscow beat Kayseri Spor in the Eurocup Women Final.
The previous Euroleague Women’s attendance record was set in December 2013 in Kosice when Good Angels lost 77-61 to Bourges Basket.
