After being ruled out due to a mild concussion, Alex Caruso returned to action with the Los Angeles Lakers in a game against the Charlotte Hornets.

The 27-year-old guard struggled with his shot as he made just 1 out of 7 of all his shots. He finished the game with 5 points in 24 minutes of play. Postgame, he admitted to being a bit out shape after not playing significant minutes for an extended period of time.

“I was a little rusty, obviously,” Caruso said. “I missed a couple easy shots, layups and then a couple of shots that I thought I should usually make. But to be honest this is my first game in maybe two weeks.

Because I played 7 minutes in that first game and then haven’t played since before All-Star break. And I didn’t play in the last game exact.

“This is really my first playing in a game in a while. So I was a little winded. In that first stretch I though I got through pretty well. But late in the game my legs were getting a little heavy and a little winded. I looked at my minutes I was like 23 and that’s about what I play in the regular season game-by-game. And the first game back I thought I did pretty well with the minutes I got.”
