Alex Caruso returned to action for the Los Angeles Lakers after missing two games due to a head injury that placed him in concussion protocols.

The 27-year-old guard had 5 points in 24 minutes of play. Despite making just one shot, he impacted the game in a positive way for his team, according to the Lakers head coach Frank Vogel.

“He always moves the needle for us,” he said of Caruso after the game. “He always seems to end up in the positive in the plus minus. He had a tough shooting that was one for seven.

So when you go one for seven you’re not making shots but your team is a +10, you know you’re doing all the little things to help us win. That’s what Alex Caruso is all about.”

This season, Caruso is averaging 5.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 19.6 minutes per game for the reigning NBA champions.
