A sequence that led to ejection of Kyle Lowry in the Toronto Raptors’ loss against the Chicago Bulls was a reflection of the struggles that the star point guard and the 2019 NBA champions are going through.

With 2:39 left to play in the fourth quarter and Toronto being down by 19 points, Lowry threw the ball towards the referee which earned him his second technical foul and subsequent ejection. The Raptors ended up losing 95-118 which was their 22 defeat of the season. With 17 wins and 22 defeats they are 11th in the Eastern Conference.

In addition to struggles on the court, Lowry was rumored to have been made available for trade by Toronto. Though later it was reported that the six-time All-Star will remain with the Raptors. However, the Miami Heat are interested in acquiring the 34-year-old former NBA champion.

This season Lowry is averaging 18.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game.
