Despite being one of the key players for the team that has the best record in the entire league, Mike Conley was not selected for the All-Star Game.

The Utah Jazz point guard admitted to being disappointed about the snub but also used it as a source of motivation.

His former teammate Marc Gasol, now with the Los Angeles Lakers, said Conley deserved the selection for many years when the two played for the Memphis Grizzlies and this year he deserved it even more.

“It’s always tough. I’ve been with him when he deserved to be an All-Star in Memphis many years,” Gasol said, per Michael Scotto. “He’s always been deserving but not making it. I think this year it’s a little bit tougher because they have the best record in the league.”
