Without Anthony Davis and Dennis Schroder, the Los Angeles Lakers were defeated by the Kevin Durant-less Brooklyn Nets. Following the defeat, Lakers head coach Frank Vogel shared his takeaway from the game. According to him, Los Angeles had enough firepower to take the victory, despite missing two key players.

“We take out of it that we got to be better. We had plenty of firepower to win this basketball game tonight and didn’t execute well enough offensively,” Vogel said.

“Got to get a three-point shooting going. We’re jut not shooting the ball well as a team. This is similar to the Denver game, we got outscored by 39 at the three-point line. Tonight we got outscored by 30.

“We got to generate better quality looks, continue to honor our work and continue to give our guys green light and encouragement to continue to get that piece going. It was really shooting the ball well out of the gates to start the season and it’s just falling off.”
