The Denver Nuggets ended the Los Angeles Lakers’ seven-game winning streak by defeating them 122-105. It was the seventh loss in 28 games for the defending NBA champions, but it did not affect the standings as the Lakers remained second in the Western Conference.

After the game, LA’s head coach Frank Vogel talked about what led to his team’s loss.

“We lost the lead in the first half when we were at full strength. They went on a run and we just didn’t get a chance to counter that in the second half the way we normally would,” Vogel said.

“But we played games without him [Anthony Davis] and we won games without him. If he’s going to miss time, which we don’t know yet, we got plenty of firepower to win games.”
