Anthony Davis returned to the Los Angeles Lakers’ starting lineup, after getting back from an Achilles tendinosis, in the game vs. Memphis.

Davis missed two games because of experiencing discomfort in this area, however he felt great to get back in action for the Lakers against the Memphis Grizzlies, despite facing some discomfort during the game.

Despite that, Davis scored 35 points, on a 16-of-27 night, to help the Lakers secure the seventh win in the last seven games. The Chicago native also added nine rebounds, two steals and one block.

“It felt great going into the game.” Davis said. “But as you play, you’re always using that Achilles tendon, and it got sore towards the end just because I was constantly moving on it. But it felt great coming into the game, felt great throughout the game, but late game it kind of was bothering me a little bit.”

Davis sat out for the last two and a half minutes of Friday’s game, with the Lakers taking a safe lead over the Grizzlies.

“I felt like we had the game in hand, and coach felt that way, so I was able to sit down the last two and a half [minutes]. It felt great, I’ll get some treatment on it tomorrow and get ready for Denver.”
