LeBron James and Anthony Davis combined for 73 points as the Los Angeles Lakers (46-35) narrowly defeated the short-handed Memphis Grizzlies (27-54) 123-120 in a thrilling matchup on Friday night.

James dominated with 37 points and 10 rebounds, while Davis made a remarkable return from injury with 36 points and 14 rebounds, leading the Lakers to victory and snapping their two-game losing streak.

The Grizzlies put up a resilient fight, with GG Jackson leading the charge with 31 points, followed by career-high performances from Scotty Pippen Jr. and Jake LaRavia, who scored 28 points each. Jordan Goodwin also made significant contributions with 23 points and 16 rebounds.

Despite Memphis’s strong performance, the Lakers managed to seize control in the final minutes, with James delivering clutch baskets to secure the win for Los Angeles.

With the win, the Lakers solidified their position in the Western Conference play-in round, aiming to improve their seeding as they vie for a spot in the playoffs.
