Frank Vogel shared his thoughts on facing Rajon Rondo for the first time as an opponent on Monday night.
Vogel said Rondo was ‘so vital’ to the championship run of the Lakers last season and added the team ‘really misses’ him.
“He really orchestrated the game on both sides of the ball. His ability to switch from man to zone, and we like to joke sometimes he had our guys in ‘mone’ defense where a couple guys were in man, a couple guys were in zone,” Vogel said about Rondo, via Matthew Moreno of Lakers Nation.
Rondo decided to leave the Lakers in offseason and signed with the Atlanta Hawks.
