The Los Angeles Lakers barely avoided a three-game losing streak, as they took a narrow one-point win against the Boston Celtics (96-95).
Towards the end of the game, Alex Caruso made a crucial defensive play as he intercepted Boston’s fast-break, preventing them from making an easy basket which would have given the lead to the hosts.
After the game, Lakers head coach Frank Vogel praised Caruso calling his play one of the best defensive plays of the year. “One of the best defensive plays of the year,” Vogel said per Dave McMenamin of ESPN.
The win keeps the Lakers (15-6) in the third place in the Western Conference behind the Utah Jazz and the Clippers. Meanwhile, Boston is fifth in the East with 10 wins and 8 losses.
