Frank Vogel shared his thoughts on what the Lakers should do to cover for any absences in the roster due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Vogel, the head coach of the Lakers, said the team should have a ‘next-man-up mentality’, so players can step up at any time.

“Such is life in a pandemic. There are protocols in place to keep us all safe, and when something is out of place, something like tonight happens.

We’ve all just got to have a roll with it type of mindset. Part of life in a pandemic is going to be people — staff, players, coaches — at any time, pulled from their responsibilities. And we just have to have a next-man-up type of mindset,” Vogel said, via Harrison Faigen of Silver Screen and Roll.

Alex Caruso missed the last five games of the Lakers, due to the Health and Safety protocols of the NBA. He is expected to return to the lineup against the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday.
