Houston Rockets’ Christian Wood is dealing with left knee soreness and is questionable for the team’s game against the Indiana Pacers on Jan. 6.

Wood played 33 minutes against the Dallas Mavericks on Jan. 4, so it’s unclear when the injury happened and became an issue.

If Wood ultimately can’t play, P.J. Tucker and DeMarcus Cousins will handle the minutes at center.

Wood, 25, is enjoying a breakout season in his first year with the Rockets, averaging 23.6 points, 10.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.0 steal and 2.0 blocks per game in five games.
