The Los Angeles Lakers have officially waived big man Christian Wood to open up a roster spot for the signing of Alex Len.
Wood played 50 games for the Lakers last season but has been sidelined this year after undergoing knee surgery in September.
Last offseason, Wood exercised his $3 million player option to remain with the team before ultimately being released.
