Marc Gasol received high praise for his defensive contribution from his teammate in the Los Angeles Lakers Anthony Davis.
Gasol went scoreless in the game against the Spurs in 20 minutes of action, but posted eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks.
“It’s huge! Former DPOY, he’s able to protect the rim for us. His mindset & mentality on the defensive end is huge for us. It makes us a better defensive team,” Davis told reporters about Gasol, via Ryan Ward of Lakers Daily.
At the same time, Lakers superstar LeBron James said the team should get Gasol more involved offensively.
