The Brooklyn Nets suffered a huge blow as Spencer Dinwiddie was sidelined with a season-ending Achilles injury. The Nets’ guard took to social media to reflect on the situation.

Dinwiddie referred to his previous serious injury during his junior year in college and explained how he had constantly worked to prevent another one.

The best-case scenario for the veteran guard is to return next season, however he did not rule out the possibility of helping the Nets this season, as he will go through a ‘simple and straightforward’ procedure.

Dinwiddie averaged 6.7 points, 4.3 assists and 3.0 assists in Nets’ three games this season, as he filled a limited offensive role in the starting five, after Kyrie Irving’s return.

With Dinwiddie out, Caris LeVert will likely replace the 27-year-old guard in the Nets’ starting lineup.
