Ja Morant suffered an apparent ankle injury during the first half of the Memphis Grizzlies’ game against the Brooklyn Nets.

Morant tried to defend a Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot’s mid-range shot and landed on the Nets guard’s foot spraining his ankle badly.

The 2019 Rookie of the Year forced his way out of the floor hopping on his one foot. The Grizzlies are also missing another young star in Jaren Jackson Jr., who suffered an injury during the 2019 NBA season restart.

Morant, Memphis’ franchise cornerstone, was immediately driven to the locker room in a wheelchair, as he couldn’t put pressure on his sprained ankle.
