The Memphis Grizzlies were not among the teams scheduled to play on Christmas Day. As a result, Ja Morant spent the holiday watching the Eastern Conference showdown between the Boston Celtics and the Brooklyn Nets.

As most of the NBA fans, Morant was wowed from Kevin Durant’s and Kyrie Irving’s performance that led the Nets to another easy victory.

The Nets’ superstar duo combined for 66 points, with Kyrie Irving dropping a franchise Christmas record of 37 points and KD adding 29.

Ja Morant, who is on his sophomore year, started the season with a ‘bang’ as he dropped a career-high 44 points in the first game of the season vs. San Antonio.

Morant will return to action tomorrow, with Memphis facing the Atlanta Hawks in a showdown against another elite young guard, Trae Young.
