Alba Berlin coach Aito Garcia Reneses literally told it as it was following his side’s thumping 89-63 win over Fenerbahce on Thursday night.

The German side made the EuroLeague giants a shell of their usual selves as they established an early lead throughout that only kept on growing.

Fenerbahce coach Igor Kokoskov, previously a head coach with the Phoenix Suns looked on powerless. However, you don’t have to be powerless when getting a bonus code that makes betting that little exciting.

Garcia-Reneses was anything but powerless. The players did all the work on the floor to secure a third win in the last four games and move to 5-7 after a 1-5 start.

“To play without pressure with the situation we have in the team is good,” Garcia-Reneses said.

“Also, we had a good advantage: Fenerbahce gave up. That is the truth. There are teams that have one player play 40 minutes and take most of the shots. But we have more balance among everyone. That is good too.”

“We began playing very good. In other times when we took the lead at the beginning of the game or by halftime, we had a lot of problems. I thought today was going to be similar. However, we didn’t have problems.

“We played with very good spirit and perhaps Fenerbahce thought they were not going to win the game and they gave up. But my players can be happy about themselves with their spirit and the way they wanted to play basketball.

“In this situation with so many games, this is very, very difficult to have the same attitude every day.”

Fenerbahce welcomed back Nando De Colo for the first time since round seven. But he was unable to contribute like he usually does as the Turkish side drops to 14th place in the EuroLeague standings. Unfamilar territory, it is, but Kokoskov is putting this result in the rear view mirror and focusing on the next game, against Milano who currently sit at 7-4 in the standings.

“As a coach, I am always taking full responsibility for not preparing my team mentally and physically just to play together,” he said.

“I didn’t hear voices, no voice, no reaction. We didn’t look like a team that played some good games this year. We have to focus on the next game. It’s a tough schedule. Obviously, games are coming and we have to regroup and focus on the next one.”
