LeBron James and Anthony Davis will not play against the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday, in the Lakers’ preseason opener.
The head coach of the Lakers, Frank Vogel, confirmed the news, while speaking to reporters on Thursday.
The Lakers want to protect Davis and James, due to the short offseason, and it is unknown yet how much playing time they will get in preseason.
The Lakers and the Clippers will face each other again on Sunday (13/12).
