The Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James spoke highly of the Dallas Mavericks young star Luka Doncic. In a recent episode of the Rode Trippin’ podcast hosted by Allie Clifton, Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye, LeBron said the 21-year-old Slovenian is one of his favorite players in the NBA.
“Luka [Doncic] is one of my favorite players in the NBA today,” James said. “From the simple fact of the way I play the game is exactly how I love the way he plays the game. Team-first, gets his guys involved. If you challenge me to score, I’m gonna score. and at the same I’m gonna score and also at the same time I’m gonna keep my guys involved. But I only play for the team and I play with the sense of joy.”
In his second season in the NBA, Luka averaged 28.8 points, 9.4 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game helping the Mavericks return to the playoffs and give a fight to the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round.
