The Los Angeles Lakers signed Dennis Schroder because they want to repeat next season, according to the German point guard.

Schroder opened up about the Lakers’ mindset behind trading for him in free agency.

“They brought me here for a reason. We’re going to try and get the repeat,” Schroder told reporters, via Christian Rivas of Silver Screen and Roll.

Schroder, who is set to earn $15.5M next season, will replace Rajon Rondo and is expected to be the starting point guard of the Lakers.
